Children Spy on Parents

, PARIS, April 10. Strange and terrible things are happening in German schools, authentic messages from inside the Reich show. From Chemnitz, Saxony: “At a great solomn moeting of the Hitler Youth, prizes were awarded to children who had distinguished themselves in the denouncing of politically unreliable grown-ups. Some children who had donounced their own parents to tho Gestapo were especially honoured.” From Dessau, Anlialt: “In schools the children now have to write twice a week a paper on ‘Our Enemies.’ England has to figure in these papers as ‘World Enemy No. I,’ or as ‘World Robber State.’ The teachers received instructions to inform tho authorities of all cases where the parents had obviously failed to supply their children with sufficient material for theso subjects.”
