NAZIS TO BUILD FOUR CRUISERS IN 1940

Received 22, 1.30 p.m > ROME, Feb 21. A radio broadcast reports that four German cruisers, each of 7200 tons are to be built in 1940. Thcj will have a speed of 32 knots and will bo armed with 12 150-milli-metre and four 105-millimetre guns and 14 anti-aircraft guns. They will have eight torpedo tubes “U boats definitely sank seven ships. One-third of the tonnage lost by Üboats was destined for Britain and 53 per cent, of the total was lost while plying between neutral ports.” Parliament passed a motion of confidence in the Government’s foreign policy. It is officially announced that Belgium has lost 12 ships of a total tonnage of 50,000 since the outbreak of the war. L .rding to a Berlin message aUboat which has returned from a voyage reports that she sank 27,795 tons of shipping.
