Another Day’s Racing

PERMANENT TRANSFER TO LEVIN After efforts extending over a number of years, the Levin Racing Club has now been successful in obtaining a permanent extra day for racing in Levin. The fact i_iat so large a town and so strong a club should have been restricted to a single day annually has been disappointing, but the outcome of the recent renewed effort is gratifying. The second day is the outcome of negotiations with the Napier Park Racing Club, which finally agreed to permanently transfer one of its days to Levin. Next year Napier’s day was April 13th, hut as this clashes with the Nelson Club’s fixture Levin is applying to the Racing Conference for May 11th in lieu thereof. The transfer is made subject to the approval of conference and the Minister of Internal Affairs (Hon W. E. Parry). MARTON J.C.
