Clever Pupils to Present Three One-act Plays

TO-NIGHT’S PRESENTATION For her pupils’ annual recital Miss Babette Rodgers has chosen to stress team work rather than individual effort and this evening stimulating entertainment is offered in plays that are striking in contrast. First on the programme at the Empire Hall is “Cherry Stones,” a picturesque costume play, the members of the cast in quaint gingham frocks in varying colours and this serves to introduce delightful choral work. “The King’s Jester,” which is the second contribution, is good fun with the players in story book costume, and finally Miss Rodgers is repeating the moving “Nativity” play which created such a deep impression when staged at her annual recital last year. •
