Best Scenic Tours From Wellington. Daily Trips by Railway Buses. Usually every day, including Sunday, comfortable Bailway buses make delightful scenic trips from Wellington. One half-day trip (35 miles, 3/6d.) is along the harbour then through Petone and Lower Hutt to hilly Korokoro. Another half-day trip (55 miles, 6/-) is along the harbour, on through the Hutt Valley and over the Paekakariki Hill which commands some of the best coastal scenery of New Zealand.
