Encouraging Signs On Stock Exchange
MOVEMENT AWAY FROM GLLTEDGES (British Official Wireless.) Received Sunday, 9.20 p.m. RUGBY, Nov. 25. City writers discern encouraging signs of interest from the giltedged market, in which prices are already at a lovel reducing the yields to a basis to below pre-war levels to other sections of the market, including home rails, textiles and certain foreign bonds, among which Brazil and Argentine securities have figured. The war loan closed yesterday at 92. Tho applications lor Treasury Bills were again heavy this week. The total amount applied for on tenders for £65,000,000 was £106,310,000. The average rate per cent, for bills at three months was 23s 11.46 d, against 23s S.Old a week ago.
