I.'R.A. bombs wrecked numerous telephone boxes in London and Birmingham in the early hours of the morning. Several pedestrians at Marble Arch were slightly injured by shattered glass when a bomb wrecked seven of the ten booths. A bomb in a box in Harrow Road hurled the protecting sandbags 50 yards. Three explosions shook the centre of Birmingham, wrecking six boxes.
