Yacht Completes 11,000-mile Voyage

Per Pres® Association. AUCKLAND, Nov. 24. Completing a 11,000-mile voyage from England, the yawl-rigged yacht Caplin, manned by Commander R. D. Graham and his daughter, Marguerite, arrived at Auckland to-day, 18 days out from Nukualofa. Commander Graham intends to report to the naval authorities for service, and will probably conclude his voyage here. The voyage was uneventful, except for 4£ hours’ hove-to last week. Commander Graham crossed the Atlantic in 1934, single-handed, in a seventon yacht, and published his experiences. He served in the Navy on the Africaai coast and Atlantic convoys in the Great War. The Caplin is named after a Labrador fish, anil is specially designed for a long voyage, though only 11 tons and 35 feet overall.
