“IT’S A REPERTORY SHOW” The Manawatu Repertory Society opens its season of the play “Bird in Hand” at the Empire Hall to-night. Under the directi. i of Miss Babette Rodgers, the public are assured of an entertainment of a high standard equal to the previous successful presentations of the society. The experienced and talented cast contains the following woli-kuown players: Elaine Hall, Alay Gatley, Ken Struthers, John Edwards, Warren Johnston, Brian Low, Alvin de Berry and Graham Driver. Tho worthy objects of the society’s work in its Red Cross appeal will receive tho full support of the public, and finally, with the co-operation of the Operatic Society’s orchestra of 14 players, tho Repertory Society can give full guarantee that the three nights at the Empire Hall will surpass all anticipa tions.
