From Our Own Correspondent. Golf The final game in the Goldfinch and Cousins Cup between N. Anderson and D. C. Managh was played over the week-end and resulted in a win for Anderson by 2 up and 1 to play. Both players hit splendid tee shots going to the first green but Managh was short with his approach, while Anderson was oil and notched a four to M&nagh's five. At the second Managh's drive found a hazard from which he played a good recovery shot. Anderson's third shot was too strong, and Managh with a stroke won the hole. Managh was handy to the pin at the short third, which he won in three to four. The fourth was halved in fours, and at the fifth Managh nearly- holed his tee shot Anderson was now 2 down. A beautiful tee shot saw Anderson finish on the green at the sixth and this hole he won In three to five. Managh again obtained a lead of 2 up at the seventh, due to Anderson duffing his drive. The eighth proved disastrous for Managh. Here Anderson hit a poor tee shot and his second was no better. Managh had reacned the green with his second and looked certain to win the hole. Anderson's third shot landed on the edge of the green and his approach putt was right up to the hole. Managh’s putt, however, was even closer but for some unaccountable reason he then took three more to get in and a certain win went begging. This lapse apparentlyproved very- disconcerting. Both had long drives at the tenth but Managh’s second was too strong and Anderson took the hole to lead for the first time. With the assistance of a stroke at the eleventh Managh again squared the match, and an indifferent tee shot at the twelvth left Anderson 1 down. Halves at the thirteenth resulted, and at the fourteenth Managh by finding a hazard from the tee gave Anderson bis opportunity to Square the match. The fifteenth was won byAnderson, who by sinking a long putt at the sixteenth became dorxny 2. Both were on the green for two at the seventeenth but Managh just failed to keep the game alive when his putt lipped the hole for a birdie three.

In the final bogey competition N. Ash worth and H. Fergusson returned cards ail square with bogey. H. Fergusson won tlie count back. Other good cards were returned by- R. Coombridge, 1 down; L. Anderson, 2 down; N. Anderson, 2 down. K. Fergusson, 2 down.
