The following is the draw for next Saturday’s put and take stroke competition, to be played over nine holes: Aliss T. Old and Airs. D. Old, Aliss Clare and Aliss Melrose, Mrs. Corpe and Aliss D. The annual meeting of the ladies’ golf club will be held on Saturday at the conclusion of. play. Mrs. Wither and Mrs. Curtis will play the final in the Y r ankee tournament next week. Aliss T. Old won the Strickland button from N. Old. The winner of the sealed holo competition proved to be Aliss Alelrose. Next Friday the following ladies will play at 1 o’clock, a friendly match on tne Feilding links against Feilding ladies: Alesdames Wither, D. Old, J. Stewart, Snell, Curtis, J. Old, Short, A. Shannon; Alisses J. Wither, N. Old, D.' Shannon, Pearce, Clare, T. Oid. The results of Saturday’s flag competition played by the men are as follows: E. Buchanan won the match by carrying the flag to the 19th green; F. Arrow was a close second. E. Buchanan defeated C. Curtis in a play-off for the Bennett Cup. R. Jaggard was first in the week-end game and J. Old second. J. Old again withstood a challenge for the Strickland button. Players will choose their own partners at the clubhouse next week-end. The majority will be going to Feilding to play in the tournament. Personal The friends of Airs. B. 1-1. England. “Arotai,” will be interested to learn that she and Aliss Audrey Coggin are still in England and are undecided as to the date of their departure. Alessrs. N. H. Short, D. Old and J. Stewart attended the returned soldiers’ golf tournament held in Palmerston North at the week-end. The friends of Mrs. D. H. McLean will be pleased to learn she has sufficiently recovered from her recent illness to return to her home.
