How German Seaplane Was Shot Down
CREW ESCAPED IN RUBBER DINGHY Received Sunday, 9.20 p.m. COPENHAGEN, Oct. 14. Further facts of tho German raid assumed to be on the Tyne area were obtained from the crew of the German seaplane who were landed in Denmark. They admit they were engaged just outside British territorial waters. British lighters disabled first one engine and then another. The crew escaped in a rubber dinghy and were then picked up by a ship’s boat. T]iey had not succeeded in sinking their aircraft with revolvers and it was towed to Germany.
