i The monthly meeting of the Hukanui 1 Women 's Institute was held on Wednes- i day. After the business was, dealt with, 1 the meeting was taken over, by the 1 junior members, who delighted with s their jolly programme. Songs were sung 1 by Misses S. Bartosh and M. Dougherty. 1 after which a one-act play was given by i Misses’J. Golder, N. Harrington and 8. 1 Bartosh. A musical parcel was won by Miss M. Wculiain, while a competition ( was won by Miss Goddard. Mis* Twenty- < man was the winner of another compc- i tition. The results of the smocking 4 competition were: Mrs. G. Udy 1, Mrs. < Goodin 2; best bloom, Mrs. Harrington. 4
