Lorry Struck by Train at Paraparaumu

DRIVER IN SERIOUS CONDITION Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Aug. 6. Severe head injuries were received by tho driver of a motor-lorry which was struck by the New Plymouth* Wellington express at the railway station level-crossing at Paraparaumu shortly beforo 5 p.m. ou Saturday. The injured man, Air. 11. Wright, labourer, of Paraparaumu, who is in the Wellington Public Hospital, was reported to-day to be in a serious condition. Wright was tho only occupant of tho I lorry. He was apparently thrown out | of the vehicle, the rear part of which. | was badly damaged.
