Wintry Spell at Auckland

AUCKLAND, July 26. With drivihg south-westerly squalls broken by periods of sunshine, the wintry weather experienced in Auckland this week continued to-day. Tho wind was strong and heavy rainsqualls were frequently accompanied by hail. The rainfall for the month is now about Bin., a figure which is approaching the record for July of 32in. Ships coming in to Auckland are reporting delays. The Port Hunter was due from London on Sunday, but will now arrive on Monday, and tho German steamer Erlangen, from New Orleans, states that she will reach port about Monday. The Erlangen was previously due to-morrow.
