Admiralty Purchases 86 Modern Trawlers

FOR USE AS MINESWEEPERS Received Wednesday, 10.10 p.m. LONDON, July 26. Tho Daily Telegraph says at a cost of £200,000 the Admiralty has purchased 86 modern steam trawlers for use as minesweepers and other naval purposes. They will he delivered to the Admiralty after their return from the fishing grounds. The effect on the fishing industry is counterbalanced by lifting the existing restrictions regarding landings at Hull and Grimsby, enabling the remaining trawlers to work to their full capacity.
