Feilding Power Supply

(To the Editor.) Sir, —Householders in Feilding are suffering some little inconvenience just now owing to the inefficiency of electric hot water services. Apparently the power is being cut off at more frequent periods during this cold snap with the < result that the hot water service is j suffering. It was quite apparent from ( an experience on Tuesday that the f power is being cut off for longer (periods and more frequently, presum{ably to suit the control of “peak” i loading. It is unfortunate that house* • holders who rely on electricity and have to pay up on the 21st of each < month are obliged to suffer this inconvenience without receiving any compensation. The system is obviously not equitable since those having the electric hot water service are paying for something they are not getting and are forced to incur expense in order to obtain the hot water supplies needed for household purposes.—l am, etc., SHIVERING HOUSEWIFE.
