SILVER VALUED AT £150,000 Received Monday, 11.45 p.ui. TIENTSIN, July 24. The Japanese Customs autnorities boarded the British ship Hsiangwo, cn route from Tientsin to Tangku, searched her for two hours and confiscated silver bullion valued at £150,000. Three Chinese members of the crew were arrested. The owners, Jardine and Matheson, in a statement, said they were unaware that there was illegal currency aboard. The escort vessel Sandwich has gone to Tangku as the result of a Chinese attack on Jardine and Mathcson’s premises.
