ENGLAND SCORED 11 WHEN PLAY WAS ABANDONED

At Manchester in tho second Test against the West Indies, England had lost no -wickets for 11 (Hutton not out six, Fagg not out two, extras three) when play was abandoned owing to rain, which also precluded play before‘lunch.
