EFFECT OF OUTCOME OF BRITISH AGREEMENT Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, July 22. Questioned about the effect of the outcome of the British trade negotiations on trade between New Zealand and Australia, the Prime Minister, Rt. Hon. M. J. Savage, said that as far as he could see there would not be any alteration in the existing positiou. “We will still have to impose restrictions," he said. “The agreement with Britain will bring us closer to her in the matter of trade und tho volume of imports from Britain must increase above what they would have been had there been no negotiations on the question."
