METHODIST AUXILIARY MEETING The following ladies were elected officers for the ensuing year at the annual meeting on Thursday of the Methodist Foreign Missions Auxiliary, over which Rev. T. Coatsworth presided: President, Miss C. Harding; vicepresidents, Mesdames Coatsworth, J. Pryde, Hutching, R. Richards, F. F. Hurley, H. Galbraith and Miss M. Harding; secretary, Mrs. W. Bowman; assistant-secretary, Mrs. F. L. Richards; treasurer, Mrs. J. Pryde; birthday league secretary, Miss L. Bowman; organist, Mrs. A. Olsson; mission box secretaries, Mrs. W. Wilson and Mrs. Olsson; stamp secretary, Miss M. Harding; representative to circuit quarterly meeting, Mrs. Bowman; afternoon tea convener, Mrs. Signal. Mrs. Bowman gave a very interesting report of the convention held recently at Feilding. The hostesses were Mrs. Warnock and Miss M. Harding. The annual report stated that nine monthly meetings had been held; Miss Rishworth, Dominion president, had addressed the auxiliary; a successful garden party had been held, letters and reports had been received from various missionaries in the Solomon Islands, to whom cash and goods had been forwarded; the Maori work had also been supported. There . were 32 subscribers to the official jour* ! nai, and 36 birthday league subscribers; the income had shown a substantial increase, and, altogether, the year bad been an outstanding one for various activities. Mrs. Bowman was complimented upon the report. There was a splendid attendance.
