TIDE CAUSES ABANDONME. K FOR NIGHT Per Press Association. WANGANUI, July 21. At 1.45 o’clock this morning it was decided to abandon the efforts to refloat the Port Bowen. This course was decided upon as it was thought impracticable to continue with the present tide, which was not assisting the three tugs, they having been working at full pressure for approximately three hours, without making any impression.
