AUSTRALIAN WARPLANES
Air Force Takes Delivery of Wirraway Machines (Received 11. 11.45 a.m.) MELBOURNE, July 11. After acceptance flights, the Royal Australian Air Force took delivery of three Wirraway machines, the first warplanes to be made in Australia. The Minister of Defence, Brigadier G. A. Street, raid that delivery of the full order given by the Commonwealth Government for 137 planes should be completed on schedule within a year.
