Three Years and No Payment
FARMER’S LAND TAKEN FOR DEVIATION
(To the Editor.)
Sir, —I was pleased to read in your paper of the stand the Kuku farmers arc taking against tho confiscation of their land by tho Government. It appears that no one knows when his property is safe and whether it will be taken without payment or -whether it will be paid for just when tho Government thinks fit.
The Kuku farmers may receive just the same treatment I received from our Socialist Government. Just three years and three months ago the Government took a few acres of the best of my land for a road deviation. Although I have battled hard for payment so far I have not received a penny. Tho Government have stalled and stonewalled right from the start and have put mo to all the trouble and expense possible. Should any of your readers not believe this j’ou may give them my name and address and I will soon convince them of the truth of my statements. —I am, etc., ANTI-SOCIALIST.
