Feilding Branch W.D.F.U.
JULY MEETING HELD Mrs. H. Beatson presided _ over the monthly meeting of the Feilding branch of the Women’s Division of the Farmers^ 1 Union held on Friday last. Numerous apologies for absence were received from members on account of illness. As the branch was unable to arrange a lecture on first aid and home nursing the secretary (Mrs. E. Scott) was instructed to write and make arrangements for the lecture to take place at the next meeting. i A letter of thanks was received from the hospital visitor (Miss Matheson)
for donations of jam, etc. | A letter from the Feilding branch of the Farmers’ Union was received regarding the proposed Centennial memorial at Hitchman’s corner, and it was left to Mrs. Beatson to make arrangements for a combined meeting with the Feilding branch of the union to discuss the matter.
| The president gave an interesting reiport on the activities at the Awapuni 'rest home and members expressed pleasure at the success of the home. A letter was received from the Blind Institute asking the division to assist in connection with the proposed visit of the institute band to Feilding at a later date. j Mrs. J. H. Williamson, of Waituna | West, gave a talk on her visit abroad and as she was unable to cover the subject fully, it was agreed she give another talk at the next meeting.
