Clearing Sale

The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report a successful clearance at the sale held on account of Mr. F. H. Rowe at Himatangi saleyards on Monday. The herd of 30 cows were in quite good condition and butterfat returns were given with most of the animals. Although several of the cows were late culvers, prices were consistent throughout, the whole herd averaging £9. The weaner heifers realised £2 16s. An outside entry of 12 springing heifers attracted attention and sold at prices well in keeping with recent rates. Quotations:—July calvers, £ll, £ll 10s to £l2; August calvers, £S ss, £lO, £l2 10s to £l3 .10s; September calvers, £6 ss, £6 10s, £7, £8 5s to £ll 10s; October calvers, £6 15s, £7 15s to £9; springing heifers, £6 ss, £7, £7 15s to £8; threeyear Jersey bull, £5 7s Gd; weaner heifers, £2 16s.
