“Propaganda and Lies”
BRITISH LABOUR’S APPEAL TO GERMAN WORKERS COMPREHENSIVE BROADCAST Received Sunday, 8.30 p.m. LONDON, July 2. Tbe National Council of Labour baa appealed to tlic German people denouncing German propaganda and lies and urging the workers to insist that the disputes should he settled, without war. The National Council of Labour’s appeal will be broadcast from secret Continental stations. It will be distributed throughout Poland and also through underground stations throughout Germany. The 8.8. C. will broadcast it an German, French and Italian. It is headed “Why kill each other,” and uncompromisingly supports Lord Halifax, declaring that Hitler is encircling himself. It adds: ‘‘For everybody butter is better than guns. ’ ’
