Surprise Party at “ Pariroa”
MISS M. BURRELL HONOURED “Pariroa,” the home of Mr. and Mrs. E. Burrell, Kimbolton Road, Feilding, was the rendezvous for a large number of young people on Saturday evening, tho occasion being a surprise party organised by Miss Norah Beattie in honour of Miss Margaret Burrell and Mr. lan Bolton-Reillv whoso marriage takes place this week. Tho drawing room was converted into a ball room and effectively decorated with tangerine and golden Iceland poppies and light touches of greenery. Supper was dispensed in the dining room which Avas gay with autumn-coloured flowers. Excellent music was contributed by a professional pianist. At the end of a delightfully bright and happy evening Mr. G. Lintott wished the prospective bride and bridegroom the very best of good fortuue for the future. Following musical honours Mr. Lintott extended thanks to Mrs. Burrell and Miss Beattie. Miss Beattie wore a pretty frock of yellow taffeta, while Miss Burrell wore an off-the-shoulder princess robe of black chiffon velvet finished with a large crimson velvet rose.
