Acute Fear in Holland

GERMAN INVASION IT WAR COMES Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Juno 29. There had been so great a fear of Germany crossing the frontier of Holland that on one Sunday in the earlier part of this year the whole male popu lation was called on to assist in the construction of frontier fortifications, said Rev. E. R. Davids, a Dutch Catholic priest who arrived in Wellington by the Rangitikei to-day. Father Davids' said there was acute fear in Holland of Germany crossing her territory in the event of a European war. Father Davids has been engaged in missionary work since 1916. In 1926 be went to the Cook Islaiids and has been there ever since with the exception of a holiday in his homeland from which he is just returning.
