APPLICATION FOR READMISSION TO LABOUR PARTY United Press Association.—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. LONDON, Juno 28. 7,10 labour Party executive has referred the application of Sir Stafford Cripps, for re-admission to the Labour Party, to a sub committee, which will reconsider it at the end of July. A London cablegram received on January 26th the uational executive of the Labour Party, with one dissentient, expelled Sir Stafford cripps from the party after a discussion on charges of disloyalty on his part by issuing to local Labour Parties a memorandum on the Popular Front after its rejection by the executive, of which Sir Stafford Cripps was a member. The memorandum contemplated] some kind of understanding with other!
political opponents of the National Government and was intended to improve the prospects of Opposition candidates at the next genera] election. Sir Stafford Cripps attended the meeting and vigorously denied that he desired to split the parly.
