Lawlor, who was arrested for firing shots near the Duchess of Kent, pleaded guilty to possessing a firearm with intent to damage property but not guilty of intent to endanger life. He was bound over fox a year on condition that he goes to Australia within a month. The police gave evidence that Lawlor was a New Zealander with no previous convictions. He had been in mental homes since 1932. He claimed descent from the Vikings and said he was blueblooded.
