Australian Cricket Team’s Tour
PLAY MANAWATU IN MARCH Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, June 21. The Australian cricket team to tour New Zealand arrives at Wellington by the Awatea on February 5 next year. A programme of 14 matches has been drawn up, including three against New Zealand. The team will leave Wellington on its return to Australia on April 2. The itinerary which has been approved by the Australian Board of Control is as follows: — February 6 and 7: Versus Wairarapa at Masterton. February 9, 10, 12: Versus Wellington at Wellington. February 14 and 15: Versus Southland at Invercargill. February 10, 17 and 19: Versus Otago at Dunedin, February 23, 24 and 26; Versus Canterbury at Christchurch. February 27 and 2S: Versus West Coast at Groymouth. March 1,2 and 4: Versus New Zealand at Christchurch. March 5 and 6: Versus Manawatu at Palmerston North. March 8, 9 and 11: Versus Auckland, at Auckland. March 12 and 13: Versus Waikato, at Hamilton. March 15, 16 and 18: Versus New Zealand at Auckland. March 19 and 20: Versus Taranaki, at New Plymouth. March 23, 25 and 26: Versus New Zealand at Wellington. March 29 an'* 30: Versus Hawke’s Bay, at Napier.
