New Paraparaumu Aerodrome. Some heavy machinery, including two bulldozers and six 12-cubic yard carryalls, has arrived at Paraparaumu for use in the work of levelling the site of the new aerodrome on the south side of the bitumen road between the township and the beach. The plant that is being used has been working throughout the summer on the Whenuapai military aerodrome, Auckland, but, as effective work cannot be done there during the winter months, it was decided to transfer the plant to the workable dry ground in Paraparaumu, complete the levelling of the site of the new aerodrome, and send the machinery back to Auckland before the summer.
