Changeable and Wanner WELLINGTON, June 21. The centre of the recent disturbance is moving slowly across Otago. The pressure is low over the South Tasman Sea and the situation is developing into one of the westerly type. Winds: North-easterly at first on the coast south of Christchurch; otherwise from a westerly quarter, with northwesterly predominating in eastern districts and west to south-west in western districts, force moderate to strong and reaching gale force at times in parts of the Cook Strait area. Seas (N.Z. waters): Rough on the west coast south of Cape Egmont and also south of Dunedin, but decreasing later in the latter area; elsewhere moderate, but rising somewhat north of Cape Egmont. Eastern Tasman Sea: Moderate to strong south-westerly winds gradually turning to north-westerly in the central and southern portions; seas rather rough. Weather: Changeable in districts with a westerly aspect, with rain at times, but falls mostly light in those of the North Island; rain at first also on the east coast south of Christchurch, but improving and conditions in eastern districts otherwise mainly fair.
