Maldon (Essex) Town Council has agreed to a request by the Ladies’ Canadian Club, of Maldon, Massachu* setts, for a Union Jack to hang in their headquarters. The club helps British women in need, and in a letter addressed to the ‘ ‘ Lord Mayor of Maldon, Essex,” it was stated that the club could not afford to buy a flag.
