From Our Own Correspondent. Bulls v. Old Boys Seniors After a late start during which an Icy downpour soaked the ground, the teams lined out as follows:—Old Boys (blue): C. Calkin, L. Aloss, A. Bush, K. Coles, W. Bush, A. B. Marshall D. McLennan, Ireland, Glasgow,Alackisack, Stewart, Rowlett, Olive, Johnston. Bulls (black): K. Ellery, Watts, Stock, Culpan, Bending, Williams, Gray, Connolly, Henderson, Wasson, Good, Bromley, Rayher, Cults, Bromley. Old Boys kicked off, Bulls attacking with thrustful forward rushes. Old Boys forced. From the drop-out the blue backs instituted a bright passing movement, but the blacks were solid on defence, and Rayner and Bromley were prominent in dribbling rushes. After forcing twice Old Boys swept play downfield, A. Bush secured possession, raced 40 yards and kicked ahead but lost the ball on the Bulls line. After another attack, in which Ireland and Aloss were prominent, Old Boys were rewarded when from a scrum on the half-way line McLennan secured the ba:7, travelling out to Coles, who turned on the pace and fended off many would-be tacklers to score well out; the kick missed. Old Boys 3, Bulls 0. Half-time sounded and the teams changed over without a spell owing to the late start. From a drop-out the ball came out to Watts, the black winger, who streaked for an opening and scored well out with two blue men Hanging on. Stock converted. Bulls 0, Oiu Boys 3. Bulls further improved their position when from a scrum in a handy position P. Bending secured and badij beat Marshall to score well out. The k!V missed. Bulls 8, Old Boys 3. Old Boys at this stage were desperate and A. Marshall showed up in a blue attack. However the Bulls defence was safe and the black forwards carried play to blue territory, where A. Bush saved by kicking the ball to dead-ball area. The blacks* were not to be outdone and from a scrum Gray passed to Culpan on the blind side for the black winger to score. The kick again missed. Bulls 11, Old Boys 3. Despite several attacks the blues were unable lo score and time sounded soon after with Bulls winners by 11 points to 3. Mr. R. Rivers refereed. Juniors At Ohingalti tho Old Boys junior mel their Waterloo when they were beaten by a greatly improved side whose forwards played gallantly in the drenching rain. For the winners Ross and RuthenV.u scored tries, while Rutherford converted one and kicked a penalty. For Old Boys Ryder kicked three penalties. Harriers The first race of the Todd Cup series was run on Saturday over a 61-mile twolap course through the old reservoir reserve. The following are the results, handicap being in brackets: AI. Hdht (4.45), 31.45;, 1; W. Edge (4.15), 38.52, 2, J. Taylor (5.45), 39.28, 3; YY'. Hill (3.00;, 37.49, 4; S. Christopher (3.30), 38.36, 5; J. Morgan (9.00), 44.12, 6; D. Stent (9.00), 44.30, 7; F. Hill (scr.), 36.37, 8. C. Gibbs and A. Holden failed to finish.

Lacrosse Nga Tawa School on Saturday was the scene of an enjoyable game between present pupils and old girls. The result was a win for the former by 10 goals to 7. Miss AI. Ashcroft was the umpire. The visitors were later entertained at tea by the staff.
