Transom; Povvnall trophy match). Junior:. Old Bovs v. Halcombe at Alarton (Air. G. Harre), Bulls v. Rata at Rata (Mr. W. H Holland), Ohingaiti v. Hunterville at Iluntcvville (Air. R. Gordon). Thirds: Old Boys v. Flock House at Marton, 1.30 p.jn (Mr T. Woods), Bulls v. Hunterville at Bulla (Air. G. H. Packer). Rangitikei County Council Chairman For the eleventh year in succession Mr. K. W. Dalrymple has been elected chairman at the annual meeting this week o{ the Rangtikei County .council. Air. Dalrymple has been a councillor for 25 years Cr. W. Doole, in proposing Air. Dalrymplo ns chairman, said he had filled the position for many years very ably. Cr. R. G Dalzie'.l seconded the nominaion. A number of councillors paid a tribute to Air Dalrymple’s services; Acknowledging the remarks spoken and returning thanks for confidence reposed in again being elected chairman, Mr. . Dalrymple. said he was conscious very often of lapses in not doing things the way they should have been done. As far as the council was concerned the work of the ratepayers had beer, very satisfactory, especially as the time? had been difficult. He concluded oy thanking the staff l£r their loyal ass : st ance and co-operation. Air. K. W. Dalrymple was elected councillor to the Rangitoto Riding in Npvember, 1911, and remained in office until November, 1917. He was absent for tu-ee years on war service, during which time the late Robert Brown acted'as ’council or f the riding. Air. Dalrymple, was reelected councillor in November, 1920, and in August, 1929, he w r as appointed county chairman.
