The position of Director-General of the Post and Telegraph Department, rendered vacant by the recent retirement of Mr. G. McNamara, will be the subject of a decision to be made by the Cabinet in the next week or two, said the Postmaster-General, Hon. F. Jones, at Auckland. The acting-Director-Gen-eral is Mr. J. G. Young, who became deputy-Director-General in November last year.
