Mother’s Day Recognition Tho members of the Methodist Bible Class entertained their mothers, in honour of Mother’s Day; in the vestry of the church on Sunday afternoon. Mis* M. Harding presided and welcomed the visitors. An able address befitting the occasion was delivered by Mrs. (Captain) L. H. Jones, of the Salvation Army, who was thanked by Rev. T. Ooatsworth.
Serious Accident Averted A start was made patching the southern side footpath in Vogel Street yesterday and a small tar engine with a tall chimney was being used. This caught on a retailer’s shop name board of solid build, which fell, striking one of the workmen, Mr. S. Hardy, on the hand.
