Poland in Readiness For War

Any Attempt on Danzig Means Trouble

NO INACTIVITY United Press Association.—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. Received Sunday, 10.20 p.m. WARSAW, May 13. An official communique says that any attempt to alter the present state of affairs in Danzig will result in immediate action by the Polish military forces, which are at present in readiness for war. The communique was issued owing to reports from Danzig that Nazis are hopeful that Poland will remain inactive if a putsch is staged. A Berlin message says that Herr Hitler to-morrow will begin a fortnight’s visit to keypoints in the German fortifications. He will first go to the Siegfried Line on the western front, and thence eastward to thoroughly examine the positions, equipment and troops on the whole eastern front, including the Baltic and East Prussia.
