Family Man Imprisoned For Sly Grog selling

Per Press Association. INVERCARGILL, May 12. Cyril Neville Fairwcather, a married man with five children, was sentenced to a month’s imprisonment to-day on charges of sly grog-selling. The case was adjourned from Wednesday by the Magistrate, Mr. Abcrnethy, because he considered that the defendant was under the influence of liquor. Counsel apologised this morning. He stated the Thomas William Fox, an employee of the defendant who was lined £ls ou Wednesday on three charges of sly grog-seUing, died suddenly on Wednesday night, and so flicdefendant found it difficult to carry on his fish and chips business.
