Feilding Young Fanners’ Club

MONTHLY MEETING HELD There was an excellent attendance of 25 members at the monthly meeting of the Feilding branch of the Young Farmers’ Club held at the Feilding Agricultural High School on Alonday evqning. Proof of the popularity of the club was evidenced by the election of five new members, bringing the total membership to forty-six.

The speaker for the evening was Mr. H. E. Hocken, who gave a very interesting address on “Farm Fencing” and judging by the lengthy discussion which followed it was apparent that the speaker had aroused considerable interest. A progress report was presented by the dance committee in regard to the dance being held on May 16 to entertain the visiting members of the Otago and Southland clubs.

The topic for the next meeting on June 5 will be “Shelter Belts and Farm Trees” and “Alole Draining,” which will undoubtedly be very interesting and informative.
