Mrs. Calderwood, of Auckland, has been the guest of Mrs. H. Giles, Woodville. She intends returning home next week.

Mrs. P. W. Benson, of Western Lake, Featherston, is on a visit to her parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. Martin, Papatawa. The latter also have as their guest Miss M. Stonely, of Feilding.

Squadron-Leader H. D. McGregor, of the Royal Air Force, eldest son of Mr. Hector McGregor, Napier, and nephew of Mr. D. McGregor, of Papatawa, has been promoted squadron-leader in change of No. 33 Squadron of the Royal Air Force in the Middle East, stationed at Ismalia. Squadron-Leader McGregor left for Egypt iu September last, it is nine years since he left Napier to join the Royal Air Force, and he now holds the honour of being the youngest squadron-leader in the Royal Air Force.
