Rehearsed Reading Of Topical Comedy

LITTLE THEATRE PLAYERS PLEASE Members of the Palmerston North Little Theatre Society and visitors were entertained very pleasantly last evening with a rehearsed wading of a thre+ act comedy, under the direction of Miss Ruth Lees, who had at her disposal a talented amateur cast. It was an enjoyable performance on a topical subject, reflecting credit not only on the producer but also on those who took part, comprising Mrs. C. Freyberg, Misses P. Harman (who sustained the title role admirably), B. Inglis, J. Northey, P. Livingstone, P. Burgess, Messrs. G. Grimshaw, T. Bagnall, W. Oliver, E. Whitehead, N. Holland and Master J. McDavitt. Supper was ssrved under tho direction of Mrs. H. G. Bagnall, assisted by Mrs. G. Bagnall, Misses J. Woodward, P. Bagnall and P. Lewer. The next entertainment by the society Will be a three-act major production to be staged towards the end of the month. This will be in tho capable hands of Kiss M. Cranston.
