MILLIONS OF TONS REPORTED Per Press Association. MOTUEKA, April 28. It has been ascertained from a reliable source that boring with special plant began early in the week near Onekaka. Progress at the rate of 50 feet has been made daily and a depth of 200 feet has now been reached. The drill is passing through splendidquality ore all the way. This latest development reveals that ore exists in quantities in excess of the most optimistic estimates, and that millions of tons are likely io be available. The site of the present boring is about three miles from the old works in Onekaka and five miles from Collingwood in what is known as the Washbourn Block at Parapara.
