Mr. and Mrs. F. G. Jolly, Langstone Avenue, are visiting Wellington.

Miss T. Hewitt, Church Street, returned yesterday after a visit to Tokomaru Bay.

Mrs James Tipping, of Palmerston North, is visiting her sister, Mrs N. Mackie, of Auckland.

Mrs. Philip Kedmayne, of Halcombc, has staying with her her mother, Mrs. Hanlon, of Wellington.

Mr. and Mrs. R. C. Powell, of Palmerston North, are the guests of their son, Mr. H. E. Powell, and Mrs. Powell, East Coast.

Mr and Mrs G. M. Ransom, Palmerston North, will sail by the Rangitane next week on a health recruiting trip to great Britain and the Continent.

Miss Lorna Elliott, of Pahiatua, is paying a round of visits to relations in the Feilding district before leaving to spend some years in England.

Mr. and Mrs. W. Malcolmson leave Feilding this week-end to take up residence at Manaia, where Mr. Malcolmson has purchased a business, and take with them best wishes from friends and relatives.

The engagement is announced of Miss N. C. MacMorland, only daughter of Mrs. R. Wotton and the late Mr. MacMorland Greig, of South Africa, and John, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Russell, of Dunedin.

Very best wishes to Mr. and Mrs. G. M. Ranson, of Featherston Street, on the eve of a trip they are undertaking to the Old Country, were extended by Mr. W. W. Coutts (people’s warden), at the annual meeting of the parishioners of St. Peter’s Church on Thursday night. He referred appreciatively to the services Mr. Ranson had rendered to the church and on behalf of the parishioners, presented Mr. and Mrs. Ranson with a travelling rug. Iu roply, Mr. Ranson said the kind references made had pleased both Mrs. Ranson and himself. They were making a hoalth recruiting trip, and expected to return in about six months’ time. Mr. and Mrs. Ranson leave by the Rangitane next week for Britain and the Continent.
