Pahiatua Golf Club

THE OFFICIAL OPENING The official opening of tho Pahiatua Golf Club will take place this afternoon when a Canadian foursome will be played over nine holes. The draw for partners will take place at 1 p.m. and visitors and members of neighbouring clubs are invited to attend. The prospects look good for a successful season. If the weather proves met the opening will be held in the club house at 3.30 p.m. when afternoon tea will be served. LADIES’ PROGRAMME DRAWN UP At a recent meotiug of the Pahiatua Ladies’ Golf Committee the following programme was drawn up:— April 22: A and B, medal round; C, first card of 12 holes. April 26: A and B medal (extra round). April 29: A, B and C Stableford competition. May 6: A and B, medal round; C, second card of 12 holes. May 9: A and B, extra medal round. May 13: A and B, bogey competition; C, usual competition. May 20; A, B and C, sealed holes. May 27: A and B, stroke competition; C, usual competition. May 20: A, B and C sealed holes. May 27: A and B, stroke competition; C, usual competition. Players are requested to note that eclectics may only be recorded now on competition days and Sundays; also that no player may win more than two competitions unless she has reduced her handicap.
