CANTERBURY TOURNAMENT Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, Last Night. The Canterbury women’s golf championship meeting was continued at Shirley to-day. A surprise of the day was the defeat in the first round of Miss Joyce Betts, of Nelson, by Miss Zoo Hudson. Results:— First Rouua Miss V. Fleming beat Mrs. A. C. MeIvillop, 4 and 3. Miss Jean ITorwcll beat Miss H. Buchanan, 4 and 3. Miss M. Beadcl beat Bliss Harkncss, 2 aud 1. Miss Z. Hudson beat Miss J. Betts, 3 and 2. Semi-finals Miss Fleming beat Miss Ilorwcll 5 and 4. Miss Hudson beat Miss Boadel, 2 and 1.
