F. W. Hearsey, for City versus Palmerston, in Palmerston’s first innings, in the second round. He secured it with the last ball of his second over, and the first two balls of his third over: caught, bowled and bowled. His full analysis was 12 overs, one maiden, 58 runs, three wickets. Note: This is the first hat-trick performed since the season, when A. C. McVicar, also of the City Club, did it against High School. /McVicar’s average was five and one.
