Grouch was a kill-joy. When he met a young man of whom he had heard ceri tain nows he said:— i “I hear you want to marry the cook lat the Blue Boar. Had you not better think it over!” I “I hardly think that’s necessary,” replied the young man confidently. “I have dined at the Blue Boar for the last two years.”
